Therefore, the China Consumers Association reminds consumers to pay attention:

1. Ordinary glass cannot be used in heating and cooking environments, such as not used in ovens and microwave ovens, tempered glass that is not homogenized, such as in ovens, the use of microwave ovens will cause the risk of self-explosion and injury (currently “homogenized” tempered glass is mainly used for industrial purposes, such as automotive glass, building doors and windows, furniture, etc.).

2. At present, there is no so-called heat-resistant tempered glass products or tempered heat-resistant glass products in the domestic market. Consumers should not be misled when purchasing.

3. Heat-resistant glass products should be affixed with corresponding labels, indicating the use temperature, use range, etc. At present, borosilicate glass is the majority of heat-resistant glass, while microcrystalline glass has heat resistance.

4. Heat-resistant glass products are obtained by annealing and cooling, with good thermal stability, high heat-resistant sudden change temperature, difficult production and high manufacturing cost. If consumers find products with nominal heat-resistant glass but low price when purchasing, they should consider their authenticity.
